You may not notice any visible new features, but there are tons of changes backstage that will make performance better than ever.

We’ve just released a new beta version at www.cooliris.com/beta, so hurry and go try it out! This is a performance release, so while you may not notice many significant physical differences, the Cooliris experience should be much faster and smoother.

Please take a moment to send us feedback through the beta feedback form. We want to hear what you think of the performance and where you think we can improve! We would especially love to hear from users on Windows or on older machines – this release is aimed to significantly improve the experience for these systems.

Thanks again for your patience and understanding! We know many of you are eager for Cooliris support for Safari on Snow Leopard. We’re happy to let you know that we just released a fully compatible 32-bit version.

During the install, you will be prompted to change your Safari settings from 64-bit to 32-bit in order to properly complete the installation and run Cooliris. If you choose “Cancel”, Cooliris will still install but not run until you switch your browser to 32-bit mode.

In Snow Leopard, 64-bit processes are not allowed to load input manager bundles. Since Cooliris installs as an input manager, this renders us incompatible in 64-bit mode. We are working on a 64-bit version of Cooliris, however this requires a significant new release and we do not have a date for that version at this time.”

We encourage you to use Cooliris on 32-bit Safari, but if you’d like to be updated when the 64-bit compatible version is released, you can subscribe to our blog or follow us on Twitter. We will update these communication channels as soon the version goes live, though this may be a while. Alternatively, you can leave your email with us by emailing snowleopard@cooliris.com with “64-bit” in the subject line.

Hi Cooliris faithfuls! We have just released a compatible version of Cooliris (1.11.3) for Firefox on Snow Leopard, now available at www.cooliris.com. Thank you so much for all of your patience and understanding.

Unfortunately, Safari support is a bit trickier since it is 64-bit, thus we have not released a version for Safari users on Snow Leopard yet.
