cooliris

The Next Episode

Ok, so I’ve seen the Hulu commercials with Denis Leary and Alec Baldwin telling me that they’re aliens, waiting intently for Hulu to turn my brain to a fine slurry that they can suck through a straw on their way to tasty world domination.

Thing is, I don’t mind in the least.

Check it out: there are now well over 30 Channels on Cooliris being constantly updated, including major television networks (with full episodes of Star Trek and CSI!), ESPNHuluNational Geographic, and the NYT. You can visit MGM for full-length movies. The Onion for the best in video satire.

For a full list of our content providers you can visit our Content page here. Bookmark it, because you can use it as a Cooliris hub: from there you can click directly into each provider’s specific Channel in Cooliris. If you’re interested in what we offer but haven’t downloaded Cooliris yet, visit the Content page anyway and click on different providers to see examples of their current offerings.

But what if you DO have Cooliris already, and you just haven’t used it for watching movies and TV shows yet? Well, today you’re out of excuses, because we’re going to walk you through how to do it.

First off, there are our main Channels. Easy enough. You see TV Episodes, TV Clips, and Movies and Trailers menu options, among others. It’s perfect for when you don’t really know what’s on. So you surf. Think of it like browsing a hundred channels between blinks.

But say you know what you want to watch. You want to fire up House and you’re nowhere near a TV (honestly, you don’t need those things anyway “ they’re bad for you). Well, that’s what that nifty Search tab at the top right of Cooliris is for. Type in House and choose Hulu or Blinkx and you’ll soon be up to your eyeballs in diagnostic banter. And look, the Search tab ties directly into Channels as well, so you can ensure that you can find the clever clip that you wandered into yesterday right away, without having to scour the Wall in vain.

The Hulu folks may be evil aliens, but we’re enablers. And that’s almost as wicked.

Happy viewing.
