Happy Moon Day!

For those who don’t know, 40 years ago on this very day the Apollo 11 spacecraft touched down on the moon and Neil Armstrong emerged to become the first man to walk on its surface. It certainly has been quite some time since it happened, but it’s still pretty darn amazing to think about. The moon is something that has been gazed at and hypothesized about ever since the very beginning of humanity, and today was the day we finally came in physical contact with it. Awesome stuff!

Moon Day certainly carries some symbolic importance as well. The first lunar landing epitomizes mankind’s curiosity to explore the universe and discover new things. As cheesy as it may sound, we here at Cooliris take special meaning out of this curiosity, as we consider ourselves to be pioneers in our own way. We’re all about improvement, innovation, and reaching for the stars, only our new world of exploration is the web.
