COOLIRIS ENABLES NVIDIA 3D VISION SUPPORT

Palo Alto, CA “  June 2, 2009 “ Today, Cooliris announced that NVIDIA is using the Cooliris Wall to demonstrate its revolutionary 3D Vision experience at Computex 2009, one of the largest technology fairs in the world. NVIDIA 3D Vision® is the world’s first high-definition 3D stereo solution for home entertainment. Merging the two technologies, the Cooliris Wall was unveiled in true 3D for the first time, making it possible for users to enjoy their favorite media on a real three-dimensional wall.

NVIDIA 3D Vision combines high-tech wireless glasses, a high-power IR emitter, and advanced software that works exclusively on GeForce® GPUs to generate visual experiences in full stereoscopic 3D ” transforming traditional games, videos, and photos into a wholly immersive, multi-dimensional experience.

By combining the NVIDIA 3D Vision technology with the Cooliris application, users can see the Cooliris Wall of media as if it has real depth going into their computer screen.  When they select images to be enlarged, the images appear to seamlessly pop out of the screen, giving the illusion that an infinite world of images is at their fingertips. This enables Cooliris users to dive deeper into online news, photos and videos, social networks, and other media content as if it were floating right in front of them.
