Why I don’t have a iPhone?
October 21st, 2008 at 6:19 am
Great start! Would be incredible if you made possible to browse my albums from Flickr and KodakGallery. The Facebook App set the bar for photo viewing – if you could match or better would be great.

Great job Cooliris team. My favorite plugin now on my favorite device. Keep up the good work.
October 21st, 2008 at 3:40 pm
Do not install this application. Many users are reporting it cannot be successfully unintstalled, and find they must restore their iPhones to get rid of it (restoring an iPhone means losing data).
This is very frustrating, since it can take weeks before updates get pushed out to the AppStore.
DO NOT install this app until you see reports that it can be uninstalled without problem.

Great job, I love this plugin on my notebook (Although I always have to open it twice to make it work with Safari!)
Yesterday I was wondering how to make a quick search for images on my iPhone, now I have the answer!
Thanks a lot
October 22nd, 2008 at 6:45 am
Nice, guys. Cooliris knows that the iPhone app has a major problem: it cannot be uninstalled, and yet there’s no acknowledgment of that from the company.
Check out the complaints in apple’s support forums on this.

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone! We hope you will continue to enjoy using Cooliris on the iPhone!
Brian- You definitely bring up a great point! We probably won’t be integrating with Kodak due to the way they handle their user names and passwords. However, we do plan to integrate with both Flickr and Picasa in our next release, so stay tuned!
Fran- Currently, we don’t offer support for bungie.net, but this is something we’ll consider! Thanks so much for your support and understanding!

Hey Cooliris team,
Any word on the problems that many of us are having with this? I deleted it from my phone (held the icon and hit the X) just to test the claims, and sure enough, I can’t get it back. Looks like Apple pulled you out of the store, too. Can we get an update? I can’t completely delete this or reinstall this, and now my phone is being buggy. Please FIX!! Or at least post a message to your homepage telling us what’s up.

Is it going to be available for the iTunes US Store? Because Cooliris isn’t listed in the US AppStore.

Can’t find it in the iTunes Store…
October 23rd, 2008 at 7:15 pm
Hey guys — love the plugin, but any word on why it has suddenly disappeared from the App Store? The direct link has gone 404 and it’s nowhere to be found in a manual search either. Did Apple nix it?
October 23rd, 2008 at 7:35 pm
Installed Cooliris for iPhone this morning. Interesting approach, great for the small screen of the iPhone. Unfortunately, deleted it by mistake and now cannot fully delete it on Sync. Getting unknown error (OxE8000043). To top it off, the app is no longer available through the App Store. What gives.
October 23rd, 2008 at 7:57 pm
Really looking forward to this. Had much fun with your browser version. Probably will have more with the “touch” of the iphone. Thanks for keeping it free!!!
October 23rd, 2008 at 10:52 pm
Hi…is there any chance at all…now that your app has been pulled from the apple store….that you will find a fix for the uninstall / sync problem that every user of cooliris who has tried to uninstall is having?
I appreciate your set text of “Oh well its all about Apple’s sync / install / uninstall proces…nothing to do with us” but i have to point out that EVERY other app uses those same processes so really…if there was a problem with it it would be evident everywhere.
On the other hand provided Apple accepted the app on the app store one has to presume that they tested it in some way also…
Now…do you think that just maybe someone can solve the problem so loads of people DONT have to spend their time setting up their devices again?
October 24th, 2008 at 12:49 am
the new version will fix the uninstall problem of the old version? or i need to wait the new iphone firmware?
October 24th, 2008 at 1:22 am
Please make it available in the Swedish App Store!!
October 24th, 2008 at 2:22 am
This is just great, been waiting for this a long time.
However, due to the small screen, 3 rows on top of each other is really too much.
2 would be much better (I would be happiest with one, but I guess that would be against your design philosophy).
Also, it would be great to have a ‘play’ button to start a slideshow.
But otherwise it is fantastic, especially the web integration. I can surf the best of deviantart, quickly enter webview to fav a picture I like, get back into cooliris – simply stunning.

Hi Cooliris team – Why can’t I find Cooliris on the App store? No matter how or where I search – iTunes on my Mac, App store on the iPhone – it never comes up. It’s like it’s never been there. Is it still up there?
I’m in the US, if that makes any difference. Thanks!
October 24th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
Great job !!!
October 24th, 2008 at 9:57 pm
some questions:
-I have a cooliris gallery that’s not indexed by google, how do i point the app to it? it would be REALLY nice to try out my own galleries!
-In the brief instructions it says “Finger Swipe Submenu – Slide the sub-menu items to see more” I cant seem to get this to work.
Great app!!

I use iTunes for Japanese version.
I do not download Cooliris for iPhone.
Please change iTunes settings.
Or Upload Cooliris for iPhone Japanese version.
October 28th, 2008 at 9:10 am
Will you be adding the ability for us to show our own feeds? Also, some sort of integration with Safari would be great, so when I am on a media rss enabled site, I can see the cooliris option available.
October 29th, 2008 at 3:47 am
2,1mb… I wondered how much stuff can be stuffed into this small download package, but when I started it the first time,my eyes poped out
Long story short meaning => I LOVE COOLiRIS (and my iphone)
)
please add support for a downloading option of selected pictures !
Maybe even a way to resize the downloaded images to use them directly as wallpaper on the iphone. (Images should be saved in the camera folder,so you can download them when the iphone is connected to your computer)
Also a way to bookmark selected images would be GREAT !
maybe together with another option to email a link list of your bookmarked images to someboy/or themselves for sharing/backup.
well thats it for starters,Im full of these sooo great ideas, maybe this sounds like a threat, but there may be coming more
October 31st, 2008 at 10:47 pm

I would love to be able to use this tool on the iphone to surf my gallery site slide show the same way it does thru the browser.

I have an iPhone and deinstalled cooliris, now I get an error messge everytime I want to syncronize with iTunes (on Windows).
The Message is:
“The program ‘Cooliris’ can not be removed from iPhone ‘xx’. Unknown error (0xE80000043)”
Is this known and do you make an update soon?
November 22nd, 2008 at 6:43 pm
Hi, does CoolIris on the iPhone enable me to open my smugmug pages, not just search for photos? If so, i could not figure out how to open a specific web page.
Thanks!
November 23rd, 2008 at 12:47 pm
The best app for my iphone. 4 star out of 5. You will get the fifth star when i can see the pictures from my private folder directly from my photo library.
Hope you know what i mean!
November 24th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
Good start. We need to get shopping integrated with this plugin asap. Also. when I send a email with items I picked using my browsers CoolIris to Iphone users, they don’t get to surf them in the 3d wall, when will that happen?

how about a windows mobile version for the omnia? Cheers!
January 2nd, 2009 at 1:38 pm
Congratulations Cooliris Team. I have downloaded and it works.
Sadly I have observed that the Cooliris for iPhone only allows to navigate certain websites.
Our website, http://medting.com (Medical Images) is Cooliris Enabled but I can’t review Medting images on the iPhone. Do you know if there is a way to do that?
Are you going to enable Medting.com into the iPhone PlugIn? then medical images on the iPhone is great.
January 30th, 2009 at 4:16 pm
The Cooliris team responded in a previous reply. In the reply, not once was the issue of uninstalling mentioned! Obviously, they don’t care about this issue, and have no plans of fixing it. what poor customer relations and bad business to only acknowledge praise but fail to step up and at least apologize for the inconvenience of the now famous uninstall issue! Boooo! Very unprofessional….come up with an update guys!!!!!! Soon
January 30th, 2009 at 4:24 pm
Who cares about what websites you guys are integrating with!!!! There are 100’s or even 1000’s of frustrated folks who can’t even reinstall cooliris because of this crappy bug! These people don’t give a crap about Kodak integration or Picassa! They just want to see the app back on their phones again!!!! To make matters worse, not once did anyone from the Cooliris team mention anything about a desire to fix this bug. Talk about lame!! All other apps can be reinstalled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How come Cooliris is the only app that won’t reinstall? This is stupid…I can’t believe I’m actually writing this…..
February 26th, 2009 at 1:40 pm
What is this \Picasa friendly\ crap? Picasa isnt a site and has nothing to do with Cooliris. Either the site has Cooliris code dropped in it’s pages or it doesn’t – no relation to Picasa whatsoever.
February 26th, 2009 at 1:41 pm
BTW, you only have to put in the second word of the Captcha and it will work. OR, cooliris can change the setting of their Captcha to require both words.
