  • Quick and Simple

We’re minimalists at heart here at Cooliris. If we can find a way to make something a little faster, a little simpler, a little more straightforward “ that’s worth doing.

We envisioned a new way to team up with users, so that when you wanted to enable your site to be compatible with Cooliris (formerly known as PicLens), we’d be there to help, from beginning to end.

That’s why we just launched Cooliris for Developers, with the brand new “Quick and Simple” way to enable your webpage. Inside of 10 minutes, Quick and Simple will figure out how to enable your site’s image galleries for easy browsing on PicLens’ 3D Wall, and then build the file that you can post on your site!

In addition to Quick and Simple’s superfast interface, Cooliris for Developers has a detailed guide for Full-Featured PicLens support. Full-Featured gives sites a deeper level of integration by establishing a MediaRSS feed, enabling custom features, and even allowing your videos to be viewable on the 3D Wall.

Cooliris for Developers also offers a Developer Forum where you can ask questions, share your site or blog with other developers, and chat about the latest developments in Cooliris!

Be sure to check out a few of the other nifty items on the Cooliris for Developers: buttons and badges to spread your Cooliris love and let the world know that your site is Cooliris enabled!

Surfing through photos and videos with Cooliris (The Phenomenon Formerly Known as PicLens) has allowed users to keep up with the latest news, entertainment, and albums from family and friends. But until now, there’s been no way for users to share their best finds with their social circle.

How does it happen? Just use the sharing button (envelope icon) to create a new message. While surfing the web with Cooliris, drag and drop as many pictures and videos as you like. Then write a few words to your contacts, click Send, and you’re done!

Now Cooliris’s 3D Wall is the fastest way to search, view, AND share media. And that’s not all that has changed in version 1.8.

By popular demand, we’ve also introduced improved and expanded International content on Discover: now Cooliris brings you more of the world than ever before. And our Olympics coverage gives you a front row seat for some of the most heated athletic competitions in history!
