I got this sto look at my local files and folders when it was known as piclens. After, updates I can't do this anymore...therefore I have uninstalled this app. Incidentally, I was working on a similiar programme using processing programming language, I have ported my work to the recently released javaFX 1.0 - i'll be releasing beta pretty soon. I'm not in competition with you - I only offer local file slideshows...but it's open source...so who knows

key points

-LOCAL CONTENT

-TOO MUCH ADVERTISMENT

-DOES NOT WORK FOR FACEBOOK ALBUMS

summary

Cooliris is not "formerly known as" piclens. In moving to cooliris you have created the above three problems.

question

is it not as simple as having cooliris display every image on that page? and then for facebook have it refer to the album link?

technically

why doesnt it cache more? google search for bridges for example, cooliris should just abuse my connection and ram so there is actually a wall of images, as opposed to several black squares

Enabling local folder browser would be nice.

Cooliris should be a standalone application for browsing local pictures ans video files.

My cursor keeps disappearing with version 1.85 on a XP SP3 pc using Firefox. I have to exit cooliris to get it back. I'm uninstalling until you get this fixed.

I can't understand why cooliris does not support anymore the local folder viewing, it was the only reason for which i installed PicLens... Give us local folder view back!

i just downloaded the new windows explorer 8.0 and I originally had Piclens working beautifully on the previous explorer. Now when I go into the program it will not load up and under my windows add ons it show that the program is now unavailable. Any word on that yet?

Most of the time Cooliris can not complete a search on Youtube for me...
I run Vista 32 and firefox and sometimes ie7... same problem either way... It worked for me 15 minutes ago but now it's back to "normal" and doesn't work...
it's a shame 'cause when it works it kicks some serious butt!

I'm marketing Cooliris to all my friends - when youtube feature is working that is!

Another vote for local folder browsing *please*! I'd even be keen on the *Launch Cooliris* icon in the windows explorer as you have with firefox.

Great FF Add-on.
Some requests:
*Bring back 'Local File Viewing' (even if it has problems caching non-pre-thumbnailed images)
*Add support for more video format (h264, divx/xvid, mpeg.....)
*Add configuration/button-mapping (UI simplicity is golden, but it's mostly 'PowerUsers!' using this, let us make it better, don't be so Apple-rogant)

I also think his would be a great way to scan pictures on the hard drive. The wall concept is great. I think you could also cook up a clever way make the wall move 2 dimensionally (I know it looks 3D already, but only moves in one dimension)

I have added Piclens to my site but found one issue. I have added some RSS feeds into the head of my pages using <link rel="alternate"... but of course Piclens requires the same code, to add its RSS feed to the page. Is there any way to add the Piclens RSS feed but stop Google from including it in rss button in the nav bar? I need this because the Piclens RSS feed is quite different in format to my others and is not compatible with all RSS readers.
